The Hotel Les Haras, located in the Chevreuse valley,
near Rambouillet, at about 40 km away from Paris, features 62 neat and
comfortable rooms with panelled ceilings and equipped with rattan furnitures.

L'Hôtel des Haras blended into the Vaux de Cernay estate alongside the already-existing Abbey Hotel. It was at the beginning of the century that the Baron Henri de Rothschild, an avid hunter, once his contribution to the restauration of the Abbey was terminated, carried out the construction of numerous, spacious buildings to house horses and hunt. The nearby forest offered an exceptional 7,500 acre reserve. The son of Louis XIV is known to have hunted down wolves on the lands of the monks who received him. .
